I sipped a café con leche and looked over a collection of wooden animal figures crafted by the Indigenous Huichol population from central Mexico. Don Victor Florentino Huerta, a Huichol, comes to the resort three times a week to sell and explain items. Beaded "shakira" forms indicate connection with super mario bros tribal deities, adorned with scorpions, zigzagging lines, and peyote flowers.
