A high living standard, low unemployment rate, and limitless options make Canada an excellent place for recent graduates.

The quality of life in Canada is excellent, and there is a low unemployment rate, while the education system is of exemplary quality. The following are some immigration options that may interest you if you aspire to immigrate to Canada after graduating or after completing a post-graduate program.

Express Entry

Foreigners seeking a Canadian residency can apply for Express Entry. Two invitations are sent each month to the top candidates under the Express Entry system for economic migration categories. Canada conducted the latest Express Entry draw on the 23rd of November in which a total of 4750 invitations were released.

Applicants who have at least one year of full-time work experience in Canada or their country of residence are eligible to apply for an express entry economic migration program.

  • Canadian Experience Class
  • Federal Skilled Tarde Program
  • Federal Skilled Workers Program

You must submit the following documents when submitting an Express Entry application:

  • Results of the language test
  • Credential assessment report for educational credentials
  • Obtain a copy of your passport or other travel documents
  • Results of health checks and background checks

It is still possible to qualify for student loans while studying overseas if you are working part-time. There must, however, be compensation and the work must fall under one of the three NOC skill types A, B, or 0.

It is important to realize that sending in the material does not guarantee that you will be invited to apply for permanent residency. Additional criteria, such as job offers, employment history, and language proficiency, will be considered when evaluating your file.

By meeting all criteria, you receive a higher Comprehensive Rating System ranking (CRS ranking), boosting your chances of obtaining an ITA.

Canada’s study permit

You are interested in immigrating to Canada but lack the necessary work experience to apply for Express Entry. If you're interested in studying post-secondary education in Canada, take into consideration the Canadian study permit path. Top-notch universities, abundant job prospects, and excellent quality of life make Canada a popular choice for overseas students seeking higher education.

You will be more likely to be invited during express entry invitation rounds if you complete your studies at a Designated Learning Institute (DLI), which increases your eligibility for a Post-Graduate Work Permit.

Move to Canada as an Entrepreneur

Business immigrants to Canada may launch or acquire new companies in a certain field by applying to the Canadian government. Each Canadian province administers its own immigrant program for driven businesspeople with unique qualifying standards and visa policies.

You must review the province's qualifying requirements if you want to establish a business as a recent graduate in Canada. The bulk of these immigration schemes only demand six months' worth of work experience.

The Canadian government also administers a Start-up visa program for entrepreneurial immigrants with new business ideas who have the potential to strengthen the nation's economy.

Cost of moving to Canada

Immigrating to Canada as a recent graduate is possible with proper planning and a minimum amount of money.

When you arrive in Canada, almost all immigration programs require you to demonstrate that you will have enough funds to support yourself and any dependent family members.

Aside from the application fee, processing costs also need to be considered.

A program's eligibility conditions should also be considered when calculating additional costs. Among the requirements for a permanent residence, the application is language tests, Education Credential Assessments (ECAs), police records, and medical evaluations.

The Education Credential Assessment (ECA) will help you find out what the Canadian equivalent of your certificate will be. Several Canadian immigration programs will rely on this information to determine your eligibility.
